We believe natural gas offers a pragmatic and effective bridge toward a low-carbon future. With lower carbon intensity than coal or oil, natural gas is a critical transition fuel that can support economic growth while reducing the environmental footprint of energy production and consumption. By prioritizing natural gas, Nasia Energies aims to help Cameroon achieve its climate commitments while meeting rising domestic and industrial energy demands.
Our approach to natural gas development is comprehensive and aligned with international best practices. We are exploring opportunities across the gas value chain—from exploration and extraction to processing, transportation, and power generation. This integrated strategy not only maximizes value but also ensures energy accessibility and affordability for a broader segment of the population. While fossil fuels continue to play a critical role in Cameroon’s energy mix, we are equally committed to supporting the country’s transition to cleaner energy. In alignment with global efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we are developing a multi-energy strategy focused on two key areas: hydrocarbons and electricity (Integrated Power).
Natural gas, in particular, presents a significant opportunity for Cameroon to reduce its carbon footprint while expanding access to affordable and reliable energy. As part of our clean energy transition, we are prioritizing the development of our natural gas assets, including gas-to-power projects, mini-LNG developments, and flare reduction initiatives.
We recognize that achieving our ambitious goals requires collaboration. We are actively seeking partnerships with international operators, technology providers, and financial institutions that share our vision of responsible and inclusive energy development.
